Mystique: Soutache with Amee K. Sweet-McNamara

"Whether you decide to make a pair of glamorous earrings or two separate pendants, this project will take your Soutache & Bead Embroidery work to the next level (literally). One of Amee Runs with Scissors’ only, 1-day Intermediate-to-Advanced classes, this project is for those students who want to learn techniques that will refine the quality of their work such as Invisible Shaping Stitches, Two Thread-Colors and Shifting Layers. It is important that students understand and are proficient with basic Soutache & Bead Embroidery skills such as Creating a Peyote Stitch Bezel Around a Cabochon, Aligning & Stacking, Shaping Stitches, Two-Sided Joins and Ending Stacks as these things will not be broken down in class. Raw Beginners should not attempt to attend this class.

"Students should come to class with a surface on which to work (bead-blanket or bead-tray), a good pair of sharp, small scissors, any reading glasses or magnifiers they may normally require for fine work and any additional task lighting desired. Project will not be finished in class but Amee Runs with Scissors’ 'Whole Story,' step-by-step, full-color instructions will make it easy to finish at home. Kits come with one pair of ear-wires and two bails plus extra beads and headpins to allow for a variety of finishing options. Chain/toggle for pendants is not included. Kits will be offered in four brand-new color-ways designed to enhance the colors reflected in the beautiful, backlit cabochons central to the project."

Kits from Amee are required for this class, and will be available on the day of your class in five different color-ways.  Kit price is $70 and is NOT included in the cost of your class.  Kit price will be payable on the day of the class.

Amee K.
