For wild women only, this is Mel’s favorite class to teach. Lots of giggling happens in this class as you learn to make “good ju-ju” dolls that hold infinite possibilities for colors…and coiffures. Then go on to create a fanciful animal sidekick: a horse, zebra, giraffe, sheep, dog – or some whole new species of animal!
This class is great for beginners, and those with more experience will enjoy the projects and the opportunity to take a class with a world class instructor.
Instructor is Melody MacDuffee, author of three books on wirework, as well as several more recent booklets and dozens of individually published jewelry designs. Melody has taught her distinctive jewelry-making techniques all over the U.S. and as far away as West Africa, where she ultimately co-founded a non-profit that provides paid training and steady jobs at a living wage for disadvantaged young adults of the Krobo tribe. Her Craftsy instructional video, Filigree Jewelry with a Twist!, came out in 2015, and she is a frequent guest artist on Jewelry Television’s Jewel School.
Supplies (wire and beads!) are included in this class, and tools will be provided for you to use during class.
