Welcome to our most popular project on Pinterest – our photo of this pretty stitch gets pinned to someone’s board almost daily, and now you can learn how it’s done! Gail will teach you the basics of tubular herringbone stitch, then teach you how you can use beads and thread path modifications to stitch a beautiful twisted rope that you can make into a necklace or bracelet.
This is not a beginner class and if you sign up, you should have some experience with bead stitching, and have completed a few projects that include adding thread as needed and adding a clasp. The class focuses on learning the stitch, and you will first stitch a swatch of simple herringbone, and then move on to stitching a twisted version. You will not finish a project in the class, but you will learn a nifty new stitch you can use to make a bracelet or necklace.
Supplies are not included in the price of this class, and we have all the supplies available for purchase. You will need a tube of size 11 seed beads, a tube of size 8 seed beads, and the usual thread and notions. As always, you are welcome to bring your own beads if you prefer.
This is also one of our best selling and highly rated patterns in our Etsy store. Your class includes a full color tutorial, but if you can’t make the class, you can always purchase the tutorial online and give a go on your own! Click here to purchase just the tutorial.
