Three wire bracelets illustrating the class project.

Wire-by-the-Row Cuff Bracelets

Learn three different row styles of Mel’s “Wire-by-the-Row” technique.  Use them to build a lacy cuff bracelet…or a wider one…or a wider one yet!  Once you know the basics, you can just keep going until the bracelet is the width you like best.

This is an Intermediate wire class, so you should have some wire experience to take this class.  If you can do things like make earrings with wrapped loops, and feel comfortable using round nose and chain nose pliers to do simple projects with craft wire, you’re ready for this class, though it is a five hour class, so be prepared to work!  Students will enjoy the projects and the opportunity to take a class with a world class instructor.

Instructor is Melody MacDuffee, author of three books on wirework, as well as several more recent booklets and dozens of individually published jewelry designs.  Melody has taught her distinctive jewelry-making techniques all over the U.S. and as far away as West Africa, where she ultimately co-founded a non-profit that provides paid training and steady jobs at a living wage for disadvantaged young adults of the Krobo tribe. Her Craftsy instructional video, Filigree Jewelry with a Twist!, came out in 2015, and she is a frequent guest artist on Jewelry Television’s Jewel School.

Wire and beads are included in this class. Tools will be provided for you to use during class.
